Gary Fell, one of South-East Asia’s pre-eminent architects, was engaged to build Samujana to encapsulate the idea of indoor/outdoor living, with picturesque views over three bays, situated on the top of the estate’s hill. Gary’s designs embrace both the view and the natural topography of the hillside. With a brief to create a ‘living, breathing place’, he designed Samujana over multiple levels, with thick walls, open living areas, leading to an infinity pool, and gardens. The sprawling lifestyle investment villas are an oasis of seclusion and calm. Since its inception the Samujana Estate has grown organically from shore to summit. Each villa is bespoke, forming an exquisite collection of unique villas that form an iconic landmark of modern architecture – the first and only of its kind on Koh Samui.
